1Now the serpent proved to be the most cautious of all the wild beasts of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it began to say to the woman: “Is it really so that God said YOU must not eat from every tree of the garden?” 1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 1Ahora bien, la serpiente resultó ser la más cautelosa de todas las bestias salvajes del campo que Jehová Dios había hecho. De modo que empezó a decir a la mujer: “¿Es realmente el caso que Dios ha dicho que ustedes no deben comer de todo árbol del jardín?”.
