14I write YOU, fathers, because YOU have come to know him who is from [the] beginning. I write YOU, young men, because YOU are strong and the word of God remains in YOU and YOU have conquered the wicked one.

14I write to you, dear children,
because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

14Les escribo, padres, porque han llegado a conocer al que es desde [el] principio. Les escribo, jóvenes, porque son fuertes y la palabra de Dios permanece en ustedes, y han vencido al inicuo.
