1Brothers, even though a man takes some false step before he is aware of it, YOU who have spiritual qualifications try to readjust such a man in a spirit of mildness, as you each keep an eye on yourself, for fear you also may be tempted.
|
1Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
|

20Reprove before all onlookers persons who practice sin, that the rest also may have fear.
|
20But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning.
|

(11-13)
11But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.
12For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside,
13while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.”
|
(11-13)
11But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
13God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
|
(11-13)
