^     Proverbs 16 Proverbs 16 Proverbios 16
18Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. 18Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.
^     Proverbs 16 Proverbs 16 Proverbios 16
5Everyone that is proud in heart is something detestable to Jehovah. Hand [may join] to hand, [yet] one will not be free from punishment. 5The LORD detests all the proud of heart.
Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
^     James 4 James 4 Santiago 4
16But now YOU take pride in YOUR self-assuming brags. All such taking of pride is wicked. 16As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.
^     Proverbs 21 Proverbs 21 Proverbios 21
4Haughty eyes and an arrogant heart, the lamp of the wicked ones, are sin. 4Haughty eyes and a proud heart—
the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin.
