(11-17)
11Closely following this he traveled to a city called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd were traveling with him.
12As he got near the gate of the city, why, look! there was a dead man being carried out, the only-begotten son of his mother. Besides, she was a widow. A considerable crowd from the city was also with her.
13And when the Lord caught sight of her, he was moved with pity for her, and he said to her: “Stop weeping.”
14With that he approached and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still, and he said: “Young man, I say to you, Get up!”
15And the dead man sat up and started to speak, and he gave him to his mother.
16Now fear seized them all, and they began to glorify God, saying: “A great prophet has been raised up among us,” and, “God has turned his attention to his people.”
17And this news concerning him spread out into all Judea and all the surrounding country.

(11-17)
11Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him.
12As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
13When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.”
14Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”
15The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.”
17This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.

(11-17)
