1So, boarding the boat, he proceeded across and went into his own city.
2And, look! they were bringing him a paralyzed man lying on a bed. On seeing their faith Jesus said to the paralytic: “Take courage, child; your sins are forgiven.”
3And, look! certain of the scribes said to themselves: “This fellow is blaspheming.”
4And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said: “Why are YOU thinking wicked things in YOUR hearts?
5For instance, which is easier, to say, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Get up and walk?
6However, in order for YOU to know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins—” then he said to the paralytic: “Get up, pick up your bed, and go to your home.”
7And he got up and went off to his home.
8At the sight of this the crowds were struck with fear, and they glorified God, who gave such authority to men.

1Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.
2Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”
3At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!”
4Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?
5Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?
6But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.”
7Then the man got up and went home.
8When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.

1Por lo tanto, subiendo a la barca, prosiguió a cruzar, y entró en su propia ciudad.
2Y, ¡mire!, le traían un paralítico acostado en una cama. Al ver la fe de ellos, Jesús dijo al paralítico: “Cobra ánimo, hijo; tus pecados te son perdonados”.
3Y, ¡mire!, algunos de los escribas dijeron dentro de sí: “Este blasfema”.
4Y Jesús, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, dijo: “¿Por qué piensan cosas inicuas en sus corazones?
5Por ejemplo, ¿qué es más fácil?, ¿decir: Tus pecados te son perdonados?, ¿o decir: Levántate y anda?
6Sin embargo, para que sepan que el Hijo del hombre tiene autoridad en la tierra para perdonar pecados... —dijo entonces al paralítico—: Levántate, toma tu cama y vete a tu casa”.
7Y él se levantó y se fue a su casa.
8Al ver esto, las muchedumbres fueron sobrecogidas de temor, y glorificaron a Dios, que había dado tal autoridad a los hombres.

27As Jesus was passing along from there, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying: “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”
28After he had gone into the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus asked them: “Do YOU have faith that I can do this?” They answered him: “Yes, Lord.”
29Then he touched their eyes, saying: “According to YOUR faith let it happen to YOU.”
30And their eyes received sight. Moreover, Jesus sternly charged them, saying: “See that nobody gets to know it.”
31But they, after getting outside, made it public about him in all that region.
32Now when they were leaving, look! people brought him a dumb man possessed of a demon;
33and after the demon had been expelled the dumb man spoke. Well, the crowds felt amazement and said: “Never was anything like this seen in Israel.”
34But the Pharisees began to say: “It is by the ruler of the demons that he expels the demons.”

27As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”
28When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
29Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;
30and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”
31But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.
32While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.
33And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”
34But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.”

27Al ir pasando Jesús de allí, dos ciegos le siguieron, clamando y diciendo: “Ten misericordia de nosotros, Hijo de David”.
28Después que él hubo entrado en la casa, se le acercaron los ciegos, y Jesús les preguntó: “¿Tienen fe en que yo puedo hacer esto?”. Le contestaron: “Sí, Señor”.
29Entonces les tocó los ojos, y dijo: “Según su fe, sucédales”.
30Y sus ojos recibieron la vista. Además, Jesús les mandó rigurosamente, diciendo: “Miren que nadie llegue a saberlo”.
31Pero ellos, después que salieron fuera, hicieron público esto acerca de él por toda aquella región.
32Ahora bien, cuando ellos se iban, ¡mire!, la gente le trajo un hombre mudo poseído de un demonio;
33y después que el demonio hubo sido expulsado, el mudo habló. Pues bien, las muchedumbres quedaron asombradas, y dijeron: “Nunca se ha visto cosa semejante en Israel”.
34Pero los fariseos se pusieron a decir: “Por el gobernante de los demonios expulsa los demonios”.

30Then great crowds approached him, having along with them people that were lame, maimed, blind, dumb, and many otherwise, and they fairly threw them at his feet, and he cured them;
31so that the crowd felt amazement as they saw the dumb speaking and the lame walking and the blind seeing, and they glorified the God of Israel.

30Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.
31The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.

30Entonces se le acercaron grandes muchedumbres, teniendo consigo personas que eran cojas, mancas, ciegas, mudas, y muchas en otras condiciones, y casi se las tiraron a los pies, y él las curó;
31de modo que la muchedumbre se asombró al ver que los mudos hablaban y los cojos andaban y los ciegos veían, y glorificaron al Dios de Israel.

21In that hour he cured many of sicknesses and grievous diseases and wicked spirits, and granted many blind persons the favor of seeing.
22Hence in answer he said to the [two]: “Go YOUR way, report to John what YOU saw and heard: the blind are receiving sight, the lame are walking, the lepers are being cleansed and the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised up, the poor are being told the good news.

21At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind.
22So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

21En aquella hora él curó a muchos de enfermedades y de penosas dolencias y de espíritus inicuos, y concedió a muchos ciegos el favor de ver.
22Por lo tanto, en respuesta dijo a los [dos]: “Vayan, informen a Juan lo que vieron y oyeron: los ciegos reciben la vista, los cojos andan, los leprosos quedan limpios y los sordos oyen, los muertos son levantados, a los pobres se anuncian las buenas nuevas.
