^     Luke 14 Luke 14 Lucas 14
(28-30) 28For example, who of YOU that wants to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense, to see if he has enough to complete it? 29Otherwise, he might lay its foundation but not be able to finish it, and all the onlookers might start to ridicule him, 30saying, ‘This man started to build but was not able to finish.’ (28-30) 28“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
