¹⁶This is what Jehovah has said: “‘Hold back your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for there exists a reward for your activity,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘and they will certainly return from the land of the enemy.’

(15-16) ¹⁵This is what the LORD says: ¹⁶This is what the LORD says:

(15-16) ¹⁵“Esto es lo que ha dicho Jehová: ‘En Ramá se está oyendo una voz, lamentación y llanto amargo; Raquel que llora a sus hijos. Ha rehusado ser consolada acerca de sus hijos, porque ya no son’.”

¹⁶Esto es lo que ha dicho Jehová: “‘Detén tu voz del llanto, y tus ojos de lágrimas, porque existe un galardón para tu actividad —es la expresión de Jehová—, y ellos ciertamente volverán de la tierra del enemigo’.

(40-42) ⁴⁰At this they began to laugh scornfully at him. But, having put them all out, he took along the young child’s father and mother and those with him, and he went in where the young child was. ⁴¹And, taking the hand of the young child, he said to her: “Talitha cumi,” which, translated, means: “Maiden, I say to you, Get up!” ⁴²And immediately the maiden rose and began walking, for she was twelve years old. And at once they were beside themselves with great ecstasy.

(40-42) ⁴⁰But they laughed at him. ⁴¹He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). ⁴²Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.

(40-42) ⁴⁰Ante aquello, ellos empezaron a reírse de él desdeñosamente. Pero, habiendo echado fuera a todos, él tomó consigo al padre y a la madre de la niñita y a los que estaban con él, y entró a donde estaba la niñita. ⁴¹Y, tomando la mano de la niñita, le dijo: “Tálitha cúmi”, que, traducido, significa: “Jovencita, te digo: ¡Levántate!”. ⁴²E inmediatamente la jovencita se levantó y echó a andar, pues tenía doce años. Y en seguida estuvieron fuera de sí con gran éxtasis.
