(16-17)
16John gave the answer, saying to all: “I, for my part, baptize YOU with water; but the one stronger than I am is coming, the lace of whose sandals I am not fit to untie. He will baptize YOU people with holy spirit and fire.
17His winnowing shovel is in his hand to clean up his threshing floor completely and to gather the wheat into his storehouse, but the chaff he will burn up with fire that cannot be put out.”

16John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
17His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

16Juan contestó, y dijo a todos: “Yo, por mi parte, los bautizo con agua; pero viene el que es más fuerte que yo, la correa de cuyas sandalias no soy digno de desatarle. Él los bautizará con espíritu santo y con fuego.
17Su aventador está en su mano para limpiar por completo su era y para recoger el trigo en su granero, pero la paja la quemará con fuego que no se puede apagar”.
