³¹“‘A noise will certainly come clear to the farthest part of the earth, for there is a controversy that Jehovah has with the nations. He must personally put himself in judgment with all flesh. As regards the wicked ones, he must give them to the sword,’ is the utterance of Jehovah.

³¹The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth,
for the LORD will bring charges against the nations;
he will bring judgment on all mankind
and put the wicked to the sword,’” declares the LORD.

³¹”‘Un ruido ciertamente llegará hasta la mismísima parte más lejana de la tierra, porque hay una controversia que Jehová tiene con las naciones. Él personalmente tiene que ponerse en juicio con toda carne. En cuanto a los inicuos, tiene que darlos a la espada’, es la expresión de Jehová.

(6-9) ⁶This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for YOU, ⁷but, to YOU who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels ⁸in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. ⁹These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength,

(6-9) ⁶God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you ⁷and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. ⁸He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. ⁹They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might

(6-9) ⁶Esto toma en cuenta que es justo por parte de Dios pagar con tribulación a los que les causan tribulación, ⁷pero, a ustedes que sufren la tribulación, con alivio juntamente con nosotros al tiempo de la revelación del Señor Jesús desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles ⁸en fuego llameante, al traer él venganza sobre los que no conocen a Dios y sobre los que no obedecen las buenas nuevas acerca de nuestro Señor Jesús. ⁹Estos mismos sufrirán el castigo judicial de destrucción eterna de delante del Señor y de la gloria de su fuerza,

⁸“‘Therefore keep yourselves in expectation of me,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘till the day of my rising up to [the] booty, for my judicial decision is to gather nations, for me to collect together kingdoms, in order to pour out upon them my denunciation, all my burning anger; for by the fire of my zeal all the earth will be devoured.

⁸Therefore wait for me,”
   declares the LORD,
   “for the day I will stand up to testify.
I have decided to assemble the nations,
   to gather the kingdoms
and to pour out my wrath on them—
   all my fierce anger.
The whole world will be consumed
   by the fire of my jealous anger.

⁸”‘Por lo tanto, manténganse en expectación de mí —es la expresión de Jehová— hasta el día en que me levante a[l] botín, porque mi decisión judicial es reunir naciones, para que yo junte reinos, a fin de derramar sobre ellos mi denunciación, toda mi cólera ardiente; porque por el fuego de mi celo toda la tierra será devorada.

(14-15) ¹⁴Yes, the seventh one [in line] from Adam, Enoch, prophesied also regarding them, when he said: “Look! Jehovah came with his holy myriads, ¹⁵to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly concerning all their ungodly deeds that they did in an ungodly way, and concerning all the shocking things that ungodly sinners spoke against him.”

(14-15) ¹⁴Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones ¹⁵to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

(14-15) ¹⁴Sí, también profetizó respecto de ellos Enoc, el séptimo [en línea] desde Adán, cuando dijo: “¡Miren! Jehová vino con sus santas miríadas, ¹⁵para ejecutar juicio contra todos, y para probar la culpabilidad de todos los impíos respecto a todos sus hechos impíos que hicieron impíamente, y respecto de todas las cosas ofensivas que pecadores impíos hablaron contra él”.

(15-17) ¹⁵And the kings of the earth and the top-ranking ones and the military commanders and the rich and the strong ones and every slave and [every] free person hid themselves in the caves and in the rock-masses of the mountains. ¹⁶And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rock-masses: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, ¹⁷because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

(15-17) ¹⁵Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. ¹⁶They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! ¹⁷For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

(15-17) ¹⁵Y los reyes de la tierra y los de primer rango y los comandantes militares y los ricos y los fuertes y todo esclavo y [toda] persona libre se escondieron en las cuevas y en las masas rocosas de las montañas. ¹⁶Y siguen diciendo a las montañas y a las masas rocosas: “Caigan sobre nosotros y escóndannos del rostro del que está sentado en el trono, y de la ira del Cordero, ¹⁷porque ha llegado el gran día de la ira de ellos, y ¿quién puede estar de pie?”.

(15-16) ¹⁵“For here Jehovah himself comes as a very fire, and his chariots are like a storm wind, in order to pay back his anger with sheer rage and his rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶For as fire Jehovah himself will for a fact take up the controversy, yes, with his sword, against all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah will certainly become many.

(15-16) ¹⁵See, the LORD is coming with fire,
   and his chariots are like a whirlwind;
he will bring down his anger with fury,
   and his rebuke with flames of fire.
¹⁶For with fire and with his sword
   the LORD will execute judgment on all people,
   and many will be those slain by the LORD.

(15-16) ¹⁵“Porque aquí Jehová mismo viene como un mismo fuego, y sus carros son como un viento de tempestad, para hacer el pago de su cólera con pura furia y de su reprensión con llamas de fuego. ¹⁶Porque como fuego Jehová mismo en realidad tomará a su cargo la controversia, sí, con su espada, contra toda carne; y los muertos por Jehová ciertamente llegarán a ser muchos.

(8-9) ⁸Ask of me, that I may give nations as your inheritance
And the ends of the earth as your own possession.

⁹You will break them with an iron scepter,
As though a potter’s vessel you will dash them to pieces.”

(8-9) ⁸Ask me,
   and I will make the nations your inheritance,
   the ends of the earth your possession.
⁹You will break them with a rod of iron;
   you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

(8-9) ⁸Pídeme, para que dé naciones por herencia tuya,
y los cabos de la tierra por posesión tuya propia.

⁹Las quebrarás con cetro de hierro,
como si fueran vaso de alfarero las harás añicos”.

(5-6) ⁵Jehovah himself at your right hand
Will certainly break kings to pieces on the day of his anger.

⁶He will execute judgment among the nations;
He will cause a fullness of dead bodies.
He will certainly break to pieces the head one over a populous land.

(5-6) ⁵The Lord is at your right hand;
he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
⁶He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead
and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

(5-6) ⁵Jehová mismo a tu diestra
ciertamente hará pedazos a reyes en el día de su cólera.

⁶Ejecutará juicio entre las naciones;
causará una plenitud de cuerpos muertos.
Ciertamente hará pedazos al que es cabeza sobre una tierra populosa.

(18-23) ¹⁸“‘And it must occur in that day, in the day when Gog comes in upon the soil of Israel,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘that my rage will come up into my nose. ¹⁹And in my ardor, in the fire of my fury, I shall have to speak. Surely in that day a great quaking will occur in the soil of Israel. ²⁰And because of me the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the wild beasts of the field and all the creeping things that are creeping on the ground and all mankind that are upon the surface of the ground will be bound to shiver, and the mountains will actually be thrown down and the steep ways will have to fall, and to the earth even every wall will fall.’

²¹“‘And I will call forth against him throughout all my mountainous region a sword,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah. ‘Against his own brother the sword of each one will come to be. ²²And I will bring myself into judgment with him, with pestilence and with blood; and a flooding downpour and hailstones, fire and sulphur I shall rain down upon him and upon his bands and upon the many peoples that will be with him. ²³And I shall certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.’

(18-23) ¹⁸This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. ¹⁹In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. ²⁰The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. ²¹I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. ²²I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. ²³And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’

(18-23) ¹⁸”‘Y en aquel día, el día en que Gog venga sobre el suelo de Israel, tiene que ocurrir —es la expresión del Señor Soberano Jehová— que mi furia subirá a mi nariz. ¹⁹Y en mi ardor, en el fuego de mi furor, tendré que hablar. De seguro en aquel día un gran temblor ocurrirá en el suelo de Israel. ²⁰Y debido a mí los peces del mar y las criaturas voladoras de los cielos y las bestias salvajes del campo y todas las cosas que se arrastran que están arrastrándose en el suelo y toda la humanidad que está sobre la superficie del suelo de seguro se estremecerán, y las montañas realmente serán derribadas, y los caminos escarpados tendrán que caer, y a tierra aun todo muro caerá.’

²¹”‘Y ciertamente llamaré contra él por toda mi región montañosa una espada —es la expresión del Señor Soberano Jehová—. Contra su propio hermano la espada de cada uno llegará a estar. ²²Y ciertamente me pondré en juicio con él, con peste y con sangre; y un aguacero inundante y piedras de granizo, fuego y azufre haré llover sobre él y sobre sus partidas y sobre los muchos pueblos que estarán con él. ²³Y ciertamente me engrandeceré y me santificaré y me daré a conocer delante de los ojos de muchas naciones; y tendrán que saber que yo soy Jehová.’

(11-21) ¹¹And I saw the heaven opened, and, look! a white horse. And the one seated upon it is called Faithful and True, and he judges and carries on war in righteousness. ¹²His eyes are a fiery flame, and upon his head are many diadems. He has a name written that no one knows but he himself, ¹³and he is arrayed with an outer garment sprinkled with blood, and the name he is called is The Word of God. ¹⁴Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen. ¹⁵And out of his mouth there protrudes a sharp long sword, that he may strike the nations with it, and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron. He treads too the winepress of the anger of the wrath of God the Almighty. ¹⁶And upon his outer garment, even upon his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

¹⁷I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God, ¹⁸that YOU may eat the fleshy parts of kings and the fleshy parts of military commanders and the fleshy parts of strong men and the fleshy parts of horses and of those seated upon them, and the fleshy parts of all, of freemen as well as of slaves and of small ones and great.”

¹⁹And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage the war with the one seated on the horse and with his army. ²⁰And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who render worship to its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulphur. ²¹But the rest were killed off with the long sword of the one seated on the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth. And all the birds were filled from the fleshy parts of them.

(11-21) ¹¹I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. ¹²His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. ¹³He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. ¹⁴The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. ¹⁶On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: ¹⁷And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.” ¹⁹Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. ²⁰But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. ²¹The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

(11-21) ¹¹Y vi el cielo abierto, y, ¡miren!, un caballo blanco. Y el que iba sentado sobre él se llama Fiel y Verdadero, y juzga y se ocupa en guerrear con justicia. ¹²Sus ojos son una llama de fuego, y sobre su cabeza hay muchas diademas. Tiene un nombre escrito que nadie conoce sino él mismo, ¹³y está vestido de una prenda de vestir exterior rociada de sangre, y el nombre con que se le llama es La Palabra de Dios. ¹⁴También, los ejércitos que estaban en el cielo le seguían en caballos blancos, y estaban vestidos de lino fino, blanco y limpio. ¹⁵Y de su boca sale una aguda espada larga, para que hiera con ella a las naciones, y las pastoreará con vara de hierro. Pisa también el lagar de vino de la cólera de la ira de Dios el Todopoderoso. ¹⁶Y sobre su prenda de vestir exterior, aun sobre su muslo, tiene un nombre escrito: Rey de reyes y Señor de señores.

¹⁷Vi también a un ángel que estaba de pie en el sol, y clamó con voz fuerte y dijo a todas las aves que vuelan en medio del cielo: “Vengan acá, sean reunidas a la gran cena de Dios, ¹⁸para que coman las carnes de reyes y las carnes de comandantes militares y las carnes de hombres fuertes y las carnes de caballos y de los que van sentados sobre ellos, y las carnes de todos, de libres así como de esclavos y de pequeños y grandes”.

¹⁹Y vi a la bestia salvaje y a los reyes de la tierra y a sus ejércitos reunidos para hacer la guerra contra el que iba sentado en el caballo y contra su ejército. ²⁰Y la bestia salvaje fue prendida, y junto con ella el falso profeta que ejecutó delante de ella las señales con las cuales extravió a los que recibieron la marca de la bestia salvaje y a los que rinden adoración a su imagen. Estando todavía vivos, ambos fueron arrojados allago de fuego que arde con azufre. ²¹Pero los demás fueron muertos con la espada larga del que iba sentado en el caballo, la [espada] que salía de su boca. Y todas las aves se saciaron de las carnes de ellos.
