1So he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, in order to expel these and to cure every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.

1Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

6However, Peter said: “Silver and gold I do not possess, but what I do have is what I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!”
7With that he took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up. Instantly the soles of his feet and his anklebones were made firm;
8and, leaping up, he stood up and began walking, and he entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.

6Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
7Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
8He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.

6Sin embargo, Pedro dijo: “Plata y oro no poseo, pero lo que tengo es lo que te doy: ¡En el nombre de Jesucristo el Nazareno, anda!”.

36But in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which, when translated, means Dorcas. She abounded in good deeds and gifts of mercy that she was rendering.
37But in those days she happened to fall sick and die. So they bathed her and laid her in an upper chamber.
38Now as Lydda was near Joppa, when the disciples heard that Peter was in this city they dispatched two men to him to entreat [him]: “Please do not hesitate to come on as far as us.”
39At that Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they led him up into the upper chamber; and all the widows presented themselves to him weeping and exhibiting many inner garments and outer garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.
40But Peter put everybody outside and, bending his knees, he prayed, and, turning to the body, he said: “Tabitha, rise!” She opened her eyes and, as she caught sight of Peter, she sat up.

36In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.
37About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room.
38Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, “Please come at once!”
39Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.
40Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.

36Pero en Jope había cierta discípula de nombre Tabita, que, traducido, significa Dorcas. Esta abundaba en buenos hechos y en dádivas de misericordia que hacía.
37Pero en aquellos días sucedió que enfermó y murió. De modo que la lavaron y la pusieron en un aposento de arriba.
38Ahora bien, como Lida estaba cerca de Jope, cuando los discípulos oyeron que Pedro estaba en esta ciudad le despacharon dos varones para suplicar[le]: “Por favor, no titubees en venir hasta donde estamos”.
39Ante aquello, Pedro se levantó y fue con ellos. Y cuando llegó, lo condujeron al aposento de arriba; y todas las viudas se le presentaron llorando y exhibiendo muchas prendas de vestir interiores y exteriores que Dorcas solía hacer mientras estaba con ellas.
40Pero Pedro hizo salir a todos y, doblando las rodillas, oró, y, volviéndose hacia el cuerpo, dijo: “Tabita, ¡levántate!”. Ella abrió los ojos y, alcanzando a ver a Pedro, se incorporó.

9After this occurred, the rest of the people on the island who had sicknesses also began to come to him and be cured.

8Pero aconteció que el padre de Publio estaba acostado, angustiado con fiebre y disentería, y Pablo entró a donde él y oró, puso las manos sobre él, y lo sanó.
