(2-5) 2The names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon, the one called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James the [son] of Zebedee and John his brother; 3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed him.

5These twelve Jesus sent forth, giving them these orders: “Do not go off into the road of the nations, and do not enter into a Samaritan city;

(2-5) 2These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. 5These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. (2-5) 2Los nombres de los doce apóstoles son estos: Primero, Simón, al que llaman Pedro, y Andrés su hermano; y Santiago [hijo] de Zebedeo y Juan su hermano; 3Felipe y Bartolomé; Tomás y Mateo el recaudador de impuestos; Santiago [hijo] de Alfeo, y Tadeo; 4Simón el cananita, y Judas Iscariote, el que más tarde lo traicionó.
