30and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.
|
30Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.
|

1However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.
|
1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
|
|
|
3Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering.
|
3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
|

11Too bad for them, because they have gone in the path of Cain, and have rushed into the erroneous course of Balaam for reward, and have perished in the rebellious talk of Korah!
|
11Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.
|

(1-3)
1And Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, proceeded to get up, together with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, the sons of Reuben.
2And they proceeded to rise up before Moses, they and two hundred and fifty men of the sons of Israel, chieftains of the assembly, summoned ones of the meeting, men of fame.
3So they congregated themselves against Moses and Aaron and said to them: “That is enough of YOU, because the whole assembly are all of them holy and Jehovah is in their midst. Why, then, should YOU lift yourselves up above the congregation of Jehovah?”
|
(1-3)
1Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites—Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—became insolent
2and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council.
3They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD’s assembly?”
|
(1-3)
|
|
11For that reason you and all your assembly who are gathering together are against Jehovah. As for Aaron, what is he that YOU men should murmur against him?”
|
11It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?”
|
|
|
(19-21)
19When Korah got all the assembly together against them at the entrance of the tent of meeting, then Jehovah’s glory appeared to all the assembly.
20Jehovah now spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
21“Separate yourselves from the midst of this assembly, that I may exterminate them in an instant.”
|
(19-21)
19When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.
20The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
21“Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.”
|
(19-21)
20Jehová ahora habló a Moisés y Aarón, y dijo:

(45-51)
45“Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?
46Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.
47Truly I say to YOU, He will appoint him over all his belongings.
48“But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’
49and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards,
50the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know,
51and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be.
|
(45-51)
45“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
47Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
48But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
|
(45-51)

(16-18)
16But shun empty speeches that violate what is holy; for they will advance to more and more ungodliness,
17and their word will spread like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of that number.
18These very [men] have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred; and they are subverting the faith of some.
|
(16-18)
16Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.
17Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some.
|
(16-18)
