1A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,

8Well, I John was the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel that had been showing me these things.
9But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who are prophets and of those who are observing the words of this scroll. Worship God.”

8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.
9But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

8Pues bien, yo, Juan, fui el que oyó y vio estas cosas. Y cuando hube oído y visto, caí para adorar delante de los pies del ángel que me había estado mostrando estas cosas.
9Pero él me dice: “¡Ten cuidado! ¡No hagas eso! Yo simplemente soy coesclavo tuyo y de tus hermanos que son profetas, y de los que están observando las palabras de este rollo. Adora a Dios”.
