9Let [YOUR] love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is wicked, cling to what is good.
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

46After that Rebekah kept saying to Isaac: “I have come to abhor this life of mine because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob ever takes a wife from the daughters of Heth like these from the daughters of the land, of what good is life to me?”
46Then Rebekah said to Isaac, “I’m disgusted with living because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a wife from among the women of this land, from Hittite women like these, my life will not be worth living.”

23And YOU must not walk in the statutes of the nations whom I am sending out from before YOU, because they have done all these things and I abhor them.
23You must not live according to the customs of the nations I am going to drive out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.

5And the people kept speaking against God and Moses: “Why have YOU brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread and no water, and our soul has come to abhor the contemptible bread.”
5they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!”

11The discipline of Jehovah, O my son, do not reject; and do not abhor his reproof,
11My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke,

2And quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making YOUR mind over, that YOU may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
