7And to them the principal court official went assigning names. So he assigned to Daniel [the name of] Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, Shadrach; and to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

7The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

49And Daniel, for his part, made a request of the king, and he appointed over the administration of the jurisdictional district of Babylon Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, but Daniel was in the court of the king.

49Moreover, at Daniel’s request the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego administrators over the province of Babylon, while Daniel himself remained at the royal court.

12There exist certain Jews whom you appointed over the administration of the jurisdictional district of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; these able-bodied men have paid no regard to you, O king, they are not serving your own gods, and the image of gold that you have set up they are not worshiping.”

12But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego—who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.”

12Existen ciertos judíos a quienes nombraste sobre la administración del distrito jurisdiccional de Babilonia: Sadrac, Mesac y Abednego; estos hombres físicamente capacitados no te han prestado ninguna atención, oh rey, no sirven a tus propios dioses, y la imagen de oro que has erigido no adoran”.

30At that time the king himself caused Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to prosper in the jurisdictional district of Babylon.

30Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
