1“And as for you, bring near to yourself Aaron your brother and his sons with him from the midst of the sons of Israel that he may act as priest to me, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron.

1“Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve me as priests.
|
1”Y en cuanto a ti, haz que se te acerque Aarón tu hermano, y sus hijos con él, de en medio de los hijos de Israel, para que él me haga trabajo de sacerdote, Aarón, Nadab y Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos de Aarón.

1Meanwhile the people got to see that Moses was taking a long time about coming down from the mountain. So the people congregated themselves about Aaron and said to him: “Get up, make for us a god who will go ahead of us, because as regards this Moses, the man who led us up out of the land of Egypt, we certainly do not know what has happened to him.”

1When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
|
1Entretanto, el pueblo llegó a ver que Moisés tardaba mucho en bajar de la montaña. De modo que el pueblo se congregó en torno a Aarón, y le dijeron: “Levántate, haznos un dios que vaya delante de nosotros, porque en cuanto a este Moisés, el hombre que nos hizo subir de la tierra de Egipto, ciertamente no sabemos qué le habrá pasado”.

4Also, a man takes this honor, not of his own accord, but only when he is called by God, just as Aaron also [was].

14Then Jehovah’s anger grew hot against Moses and he said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I do know that he can really speak. And, besides, here he is on his way out to meet you. When he does see you, he will certainly rejoice in his heart.

14Then the LORD’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you.

14Entonces la cólera de Jehová se enardeció contra Moisés, y él dijo: “¿No es hermano tuyo Aarón el levita? Sé con certeza que él sí puede hablar. Y, además, mira que ha salido a tu encuentro. Cuando verdaderamente te vea, ciertamente se regocijará en su corazón.
