27Then Jehovah said to Aaron: “Go to meet Moses into the wilderness.” With that he went and met him in the mountain of the [true] God and kissed him.
28And Moses proceeded to tell Aaron all the words of Jehovah, who had sent him, and all the signs that he had commanded him to do.
29After that Moses and Aaron went and gathered all the older men of the sons of Israel.
30Then Aaron spoke all the words that Jehovah had spoken to Moses, and he performed the signs under the eyes of the people.
31At this the people believed. When they heard that Jehovah had turned his attention to the sons of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed down and prostrated themselves.

27The LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he met Moses at the mountain of God and kissed him.
28Then Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and also about all the signs he had commanded him to perform.
29Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites,
30and Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people,
31and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.

27Entonces Jehová dijo a Aarón: “Sal al encuentro de Moisés en el desierto”. Con eso, él se fue y se encontró con él en la montaña del Dios [verdadero], y lo besó.
28Y se puso Moisés a referir a Aarón todas las palabras de Jehová, que lo había enviado, y todas las señales que le había mandado hacer.
29Después de eso Moisés y Aarón se fueron y reunieron a todos los ancianos de los hijos de Israel.
30Entonces Aarón habló todas las palabras que Jehová había hablado a Moisés, y él ejecutó las señales a los ojos del pueblo.

1And afterward Moses and Aaron went in and proceeded to say to Pharaoh: “This is what Jehovah the God of Israel has said, ‘Send my people away that they may celebrate a festival to me in the wilderness.’”
2But Pharaoh said: “Who is Jehovah, so that I should obey his voice to send Israel away? I do not know Jehovah at all and, what is more, I am not going to send Israel away.”
3However, they went on to say: “The God of the Hebrews has come in touch with us. We want to go, please, a journey of three days into the wilderness and sacrifice to Jehovah our God; otherwise he may strike at us with pestilence or with sword.”
4At this the king of Egypt said to them: “Why is it, Moses and Aaron, that YOU cause the people to leave off from their works? Go bearing YOUR burdens!”
5And Pharaoh continued: “Look! The people of the land are now many, and YOU indeed make them desist from their bearing of burdens.”
6Immediately on that day Pharaoh commanded those who drove the people to work and their officers, saying:
7“YOU must not gather straw to give to the people to make bricks as formerly. Let them themselves go and gather straw for themselves.
8Moreover, the required amount of bricks that they were making formerly, YOU will further impose upon them. YOU must not make any reduction for them, because they are relaxing. That is why they are crying out, saying, ‘We want to go, we want to sacrifice to our God!’
9Let the service be heavy upon the men and let them work at it, and let them not pay attention to false words.”
10So those who drove the people to work and their officers went out and said to the people: “Here is what Pharaoh has said, ‘I am giving YOU no more straw.
11YOU yourselves go, get straw for yourselves wherever YOU may find it, because there is to be no reducing of YOUR services one bit.’”
12Consequently the people scattered about over all the land of Egypt to gather stubble for straw.
13And those who drove them to work kept urging them, saying: “Finish YOUR works, each one his work, day for day, just as when straw was available.”
14Later on the officers of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, these saying: “Why is it YOU did not finish YOUR prescribed task in making bricks as formerly, both yesterday and today?”
15Consequently the officers of the sons of Israel went in and began to cry out to Pharaoh, saying: “Why do you deal this way with your servants?
16There is no straw given to your servants and yet they are saying to us, ‘Make bricks!’ and here your servants are beaten, whereas your own people are at fault.”
17But he said: “YOU are relaxing, YOU are relaxing! That is why YOU are saying, ‘We want to go, we want to sacrifice to Jehovah.’
18And now go, serve! Though no straw will be given to YOU, yet YOU are to give the fixed amount of bricks.”
19Then the officers of the sons of Israel saw themselves in an evil plight at the saying: “YOU must not deduct from YOUR bricks one bit of anyone’s daily rate.”
20After that they encountered Moses and Aaron, who were standing there to meet them as they came out from Pharaoh.
21At once they said to them: “May Jehovah look upon YOU and judge, since YOU have made us smell offensive before Pharaoh and before his servants so as to put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
22Then Moses turned to Jehovah and said: “Jehovah, why have you caused evil to this people? Why is it that you have sent me?
23For from the time that I went in before Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people, and you have by no means delivered your people.”

1Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.’”
2Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD and I will not let Israel go.”
3Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword.”
4But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!”
5Then Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.”
6That same day Pharaoh gave this order to the slave drivers and overseers in charge of the people:
7“You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw.
8But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’
9Make the work harder for the people so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies.”
10Then the slave drivers and the overseers went out and said to the people, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I will not give you any more straw.
11Go and get your own straw wherever you can find it, but your work will not be reduced at all.’”
12So the people scattered all over Egypt to gather stubble to use for straw.
13The slave drivers kept pressing them, saying, “Complete the work required of you for each day, just as when you had straw.”
14And Pharaoh’s slave drivers beat the Israelite overseers they had appointed, demanding, “Why haven’t you met your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as before?”
15Then the Israelite overseers went and appealed to Pharaoh: “Why have you treated your servants this way?
16Your servants are given no straw, yet we are told, ‘Make bricks!’ Your servants are being beaten, but the fault is with your own people.”
17Pharaoh said, “Lazy, that’s what you are—lazy! That is why you keep saying, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.’
18Now get to work. You will not be given any straw, yet you must produce your full quota of bricks.”
19The Israelite overseers realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day.”
20When they left Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them,
21and they said, “May the LORD look on you and judge you! You have made us obnoxious to Pharaoh and his officials and have put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
22Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me?
23Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.”

1Y después Moisés y Aarón entraron y procedieron a decir a Faraón: “Esto es lo que ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: ‘Envía a mi pueblo para que me celebre una fiesta en el desierto’”.
2Pero dijo Faraón: “¿Quién es Jehová, para que yo obedezca su voz y envíe a Israel? No conozco a Jehová en absoluto y, lo que es más, no voy a enviar a Israel”.
3Sin embargo, ellos pasaron a decir: “El Dios de los hebreos se ha puesto en comunicación con nosotros. Queremos ir, por favor, camino de tres días al desierto y hacer sacrificios a Jehová nuestro Dios; de lo contrario quizás nos hiera con peste o con espada”.
4Ante esto, les dijo el rey de Egipto: “¿Por qué, Moisés y Aarón, hacen ustedes que el pueblo desista de sus trabajos? ¡Vayan a llevar sus cargas!”.
5Y continuó Faraón: “¡Miren! La gente de la tierra ahora es mucha, y ustedes realmente la hacen desistir de llevar sus cargas”.
6Inmediatamente en aquel día Faraón mandó a los que obligaban a la gente a trabajar y a sus oficiales, y dijo:
7“Ustedes no deben recoger paja para dársela al pueblo para que haga ladrillos como antes. Que vayan ellos mismos y recojan la paja para sí.
8Además, la cantidad de ladrillos que les era exigida y que hacían antes, todavía se la impondrán. No deben hacerles ninguna reducción, porque están holgando. Por eso andan clamando, y dicen: ‘¡Queremos irnos, queremos hacer sacrificios a nuestro Dios!’.
9Dejen que el servicio pese sobre los hombres y que se ocupen en él, y que no presten atención a palabras falsas”.
10De modo que salieron los que obligaban a la gente a trabajar, y sus oficiales, y dijeron al pueblo: “Esto es lo que ha dicho Faraón: ‘Ya no les doy más paja.
11Vayan ustedes mismos, consíganse paja dondequiera que la hallen, porque no ha de haber ni una pizca de reducción de sus servicios’”.
12Por lo tanto, se esparció el pueblo por toda la tierra de Egipto a fin de recoger rastrojo para [usarlo como] paja.
13Y los que los obligaban a trabajar seguían apremiándolos, diciendo: “Acaben sus trabajos, cada uno su tarea, día por día, tal como cuando estaba disponible la paja”.
14Más tarde, los oficiales de los hijos de Israel, que habían sido puestos sobre estos por los señaladores de tareas de Faraón, fueron golpeados, mientras estos decían: “¿Por qué no acabaron su tarea prescrita de hacer ladrillos como antes, ni ayer ni hoy?”.
15En consecuencia, entraron los oficiales de los hijos de Israel y se pusieron a clamar a Faraón, diciendo: “¿Por qué tratas de esta manera a tus siervos?
16No se da paja a tus siervos y, sin embargo, nos están diciendo: ‘¡Hagan ladrillos!’, y ¡mira!, se golpea a tus siervos, cuando la falta es de tu propio pueblo”.
17Pero él dijo: “¡Están holgando, están holgando! Por eso andan diciendo: ‘Queremos irnos, queremos hacer sacrificios a Jehová’.
18Y ahora, ¡vayan, sirvan! Aunque no se les dará paja, aun así han de dar la cantidad fija de ladrillos”.
19Entonces los oficiales de los hijos de Israel se vieron en un mal aprieto a causa del dicho: “No deben rebajar de sus ladrillos ni una pizca de la cuota diaria de nadie”.
20Después de eso se encontraron con Moisés y Aarón, que estaban de pie allí para encontrarse con ellos cuando salieran de donde Faraón.
21En seguida les dijeron: “Que Jehová los mire y juzgue, puesto que nos han hecho tener un olor ofensivo delante de Faraón y delante de sus siervos, a fin de poner una espada en mano de ellos para matarnos”.
22Entonces se volvió Moisés a Jehová y dijo: “Jehová, ¿por qué le has causado mal a este pueblo? ¿Para qué me has enviado?
23Porque desde el tiempo en que fui delante de Faraón para hablar en tu nombre, él le ha hecho mal a este pueblo, y tú de ninguna manera has librado a tu pueblo”.

1So Jehovah said to Moses: “Now you will see what I shall do to Pharaoh, because on account of a strong hand he will send them away and on account of a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”
2And God went on to speak to Moses and to say to him: “I am Jehovah.
3And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.
4And I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their alien residences in which they resided as aliens.
5And I, even I, have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I remember my covenant.
6“Therefore say to the sons of Israel, ‘I am Jehovah, and I shall certainly bring YOU out from under the burdens of the Egyptians and deliver YOU from their slavery, and I shall indeed reclaim YOU with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
7And I shall certainly take YOU to me as a people, and I shall indeed prove to be God to YOU; and YOU will certainly know that I am Jehovah YOUR God who is bringing YOU out from under the burdens of Egypt.
8And I shall certainly bring YOU into the land that I raised my hand in oath to give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and I shall indeed give it to YOU as something to possess. I am Jehovah.’”
9Afterward Moses spoke to this effect to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses out of discouragement and for the hard slavery.
10Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying:
11“Go in, speak to Pharaoh, Egypt’s king, that he should send the sons of Israel away out of his land.”
12However, Moses spoke before Jehovah, saying: “Look! The sons of Israel have not listened to me; and how will Pharaoh ever listen to me, as I am uncircumcised in lips?”
13But Jehovah continued to speak to Moses and Aaron and to issue the command by them to the sons of Israel and to Pharaoh, Egypt’s king, in order to bring the sons of Israel out from the land of Egypt.

1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”
2God also said to Moses, “I am the LORD.
3I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself fully known to them.
4I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners.
5Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.
6“Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.
7I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
8And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD.’”
9Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.
10Then the LORD said to Moses,
11“Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.”
12But Moses said to the LORD, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?”
13Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron about the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he commanded them to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

1De modo que Jehová dijo a Moisés: “Ahora verás lo que yo le haré a Faraón, porque a causa de una mano fuerte los enviará, y a causa de una mano fuerte los expulsará de su tierra”.
2Y Dios siguió hablando a Moisés y diciéndole: “Yo soy Jehová.
3Y yo solía aparecerme a Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob como Dios Todopoderoso, pero en cuanto a mi nombre Jehová no me di a conocer a ellos.
4Y también establecí mi pacto con ellos para darles la tierra de Canaán, la tierra de sus residencias como forasteros, en la cual residieron como forasteros.
5Y yo, sí, yo, he oído el gemido de los hijos de Israel, a quienes los egipcios tienen esclavizados, y me acuerdo de mi pacto.
6”Por lo tanto, di a los hijos de Israel: ‘Yo soy Jehová, y ciertamente los sacaré de debajo de las cargas de los egipcios y los libraré de ser sus esclavos, y verdaderamente los reclamaré con brazo extendido y con grandes juicios.
7Y ciertamente los tomaré a ustedes como pueblo para mí, y verdaderamente resultaré ser Dios para ustedes; y ustedes ciertamente sabrán que yo soy Jehová su Dios que los está sacando de debajo de las cargas de Egipto.
8Y ciertamente los introduciré en la tierra acerca de la cual alcé mi mano en juramento para darla a Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob; y verdaderamente la daré a ustedes como cosa que han de poseer. Yo soy Jehová’”.
9Después Moisés habló de este modo a los hijos de Israel, pero ellos no escucharon a Moisés por su desánimo, y a causa de la dura esclavitud.
10Entonces Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:
11“Entra, habla a Faraón, rey de Egipto, que debe enviar a los hijos de Israel fuera de su tierra”.
12Sin embargo, Moisés habló delante de Jehová, y dijo: “¡Mira! Los hijos de Israel no me han escuchado; y ¿cómo es posible que Faraón me escuche, puesto que soy incircunciso de labios?”.
13Pero Jehová continuó hablando a Moisés y Aarón y dando por ellos el mandato a los hijos de Israel y a Faraón, el rey de Egipto, a fin de sacar a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto.

26This is the Aaron and Moses to whom Jehovah said: “BRING the sons of Israel out from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”
27They were the ones speaking to Pharaoh, Egypt’s king, to bring the sons of Israel out from Egypt. This is the Moses and Aaron.
28And it came about on the day that Jehovah spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
29that Jehovah went on to speak to Moses, saying: “I am Jehovah. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I am speaking to you.”
30Then Moses said before Jehovah: “Look! I am uncircumcised in lips, so how will Pharaoh ever listen to me?”

26It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.”
27They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing the Israelites out of Egypt—this same Moses and Aaron.
28Now when the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt,
29he said to him, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.”
30But Moses said to the LORD, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”

26Este es el Aarón y Moisés a quienes dijo Jehová: “Saquen a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto según sus ejércitos”.
27Ellos fueron los que hablaron a Faraón, rey de Egipto, para sacar a los hijos de Israel de Egipto. Este es el Moisés y Aarón.
28Y aconteció el día en que Jehová habló a Moisés en la tierra de Egipto,
29que Jehová siguió hablando a Moisés, diciendo: “Yo soy Jehová. Habla a Faraón rey de Egipto todo lo que te estoy hablando”.

1Consequently Jehovah said to Moses: “See, I have made you God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your own brother will become your prophet.
2You—you will speak all that I shall command you; and Aaron your brother will do the speaking to Pharaoh, and he must send the sons of Israel away from his land.
3As for me, I shall let Pharaoh’s heart become obstinate, and I shall certainly multiply my signs and my miracles in the land of Egypt.
4And Pharaoh will not listen to YOU men; and I shall have to lay my hand upon Egypt and bring my armies, my people, the sons of Israel, out from the land of Egypt with great judgments.
5And the Egyptians will certainly know that I am Jehovah when I stretch out my hand against Egypt, and I shall indeed bring the sons of Israel out from their midst.”
6And Moses and Aaron went ahead doing as Jehovah had commanded them. They did just so.
7And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three years old at the time of their speaking to Pharaoh.
8Jehovah now said to Moses and Aaron:
9“In case that Pharaoh speaks to YOU, saying, ‘Produce a miracle for yourselves,’ then you must say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and throw it down before Pharaoh.’ It will become a big snake.”
10So Moses and Aaron went on in to Pharaoh and did exactly as Jehovah had commanded. Accordingly Aaron threw his rod down before Pharaoh and his servants and it became a big snake.
11However, Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers; and the magic-practicing priests of Egypt themselves also proceeded to do the same thing with their magic arts.
12So they threw down each one his rod, and they became big snakes; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13Still, Pharaoh’s heart became obstinate, and he did not listen to them, just as Jehovah had spoken.

1Then the LORD said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.
2You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country.
3But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt,
4he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites.
5And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.”
6Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD commanded them.
7Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
9“When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ then say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a snake.”
10So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake.
11Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts:
12Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.
13Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

1Por consiguiente, Jehová dijo a Moisés: “Mira, te he hecho Dios para Faraón, y Aarón tu propio hermano llegará a ser tu profeta.
2Tú... tú hablarás todo lo que te mande; y Aarón tu hermano se encargará de hablar a Faraón, y él tiene que enviar de su tierra a los hijos de Israel.
3En cuanto a mí, yo dejaré que se haga obstinado el corazón de Faraón, y ciertamente multiplicaré mis señales y mis milagros en la tierra de Egipto.
4Y no les escuchará Faraón; y tendré que poner mi mano sobre Egipto y sacar a mis ejércitos, mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de la tierra de Egipto con grandes juicios.
5Y ciertamente sabrán los egipcios que yo soy Jehová cuando extienda mi mano contra Egipto, y verdaderamente sacaré a los hijos de Israel de en medio de ellos”.
6Y Moisés y Aarón se pusieron a hacer como Jehová les había mandado. Hicieron precisamente así.
7Y Moisés tenía ochenta años de edad y Aarón tenía ochenta y tres años de edad cuando hablaron a Faraón.
8Jehová ahora dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:
9“En caso de que les hable Faraón, diciendo: ‘Prodúzcanse un milagro’, entonces tienes que decir a Aarón: ‘Toma tu vara y arrójala delante de Faraón’. Se convertirá en una culebra grande”.
10De modo que Moisés y Aarón entraron a donde Faraón e hicieron exactamente como había mandado Jehová. Por consiguiente, Aarón arrojó su vara delante de Faraón y de sus siervos, y esta se convirtió en una culebra grande.
11Sin embargo, Faraón también llamó a los sabios y a los hechiceros; y los mismos sacerdotes practicantes de magia de Egipto también procedieron a hacer la misma cosa con sus artes mágicas.
12De modo que ellos arrojaron cada uno su vara, y estas se convirtieron en culebras grandes; pero la vara de Aarón se tragó las varas de ellos.
13Sin embargo, el corazón de Faraón se hizo obstinado, y no les escuchó, tal como había hablado Jehová.
